Gestia Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how the Gestia mobile application (the “App”) handles your personal data. By using the App, you accept this policy.

In short: Gestia keeps your data on your device only by default. We do not send your personal data to our servers, we do not sell it, and we do not use it for advertising or tracking.

1. What data do we process?

The App stores the information you provide and enter on your device only:

Profile: name (optional), age, doctor and hospital name (optional). Pregnancy details: last menstrual period / estimated due date, height, weight. Health tracking: blood glucose, blood pressure, weight, water intake, symptoms, medications and supplements, appointments. Preferences: notification settings, theme, units, language.

1. Apple Health (HealthKit) data

If you grant permission, the App can read only your heart rate, step count, and sleep data from the Apple Health app and use it to display information on your dashboard.

Data read from HealthKit never leaves your device and is not sent to any server. This data is not used for advertising or marketing and is not shared with third parties. You can revoke access at any time via iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Health.

1. Sign in with Apple

If you choose to sign in with Apple, we use only your name (if you choose to share it) for personalization. We do not store your email address or your Apple ID on any server.

1. Where is your data stored?

All data is kept in your device’s local storage (offline-first). It is not synchronized through any account or cloud server of ours. If your device backup is enabled, your data may be included in Apple’s iCloud/iTunes backup according to your own settings; those backups are subject to Apple’s privacy policy.

1. Subscriptions and payments

The premium subscription is processed through the Apple App Store. We do not see or store your payment information; it is handled entirely by Apple. Your purchase status is verified on your device.

1. Analytics, tracking, and advertising

Gestia does not use any third-party analytics, tracking, or advertising SDKs. We do not track you across apps or websites, and we do not collect the advertising identifier (IDFA).

1. Data sharing

We do not sell your personal data and we do not share it with third parties. Content such as a PDF doctor report leaves your device only when you choose to share it (for example, through the iOS share sheet).

1. Deleting your data

Within the App, you can permanently delete all of your data at any time via Profile → Data & privacy → “Delete all data permanently”. Removing the App from your device also deletes the data on the device.

1. Children

Gestia is not directed to children and does not knowingly collect data from users under the age of 13.

Gestia is intended for information and personal tracking purposes; it does not replace medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Always consult your doctor or midwife for your health decisions.

1. Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. For significant changes, we will inform you within the App or on this page.
